Early Christmas!

Well, it has been an interesting week. I am still getting used to my new job. Trying to juggle doing that, taking care of Lana, doing all the other things I feel like I should be doing and, fighting my natural urge to be lazy is quite the task.

Dan got to stay home the last couple days. I LOVE SNOW! It is always nice to have him home more. We basically just holed up and enjoyed watching the snow. It was alot for Seattle. We got a whole 7 inches!

Last week was the stake Christmas Celebration. Do you remember the Hallelujah Chorus I was complaining about? It turned out alot nicer than I expected. There was so much work put in for that night! I especially appreciated our choir director. He must have spent sooo much time putting that together. I think that time is the greatest service.

I wish I could tell you all the funny stories from the apartment complex (and my woes!) but I don't feel like it is appropriate over the internet. Just know, It's killing me not to tell!
On Thursday night we had an early Christmas. Mom sent us a plethora of gifts. We are going to DC for Christmas so, we needed to open all the presents before we left.

We tried to create a "Christmas Eve" feel. We lit a fire, made hot coca, sang Christmas songs, shared a Christmas memory, and opened presents.

Dan's Chritmas memory-

He started a tradition in his family. I don't think they do it anymore but, while Daniel lived there he would get up Christmas morning and light a candle. Then he would go to the youngest child (Chase) and light his candle. So on and so forth, until everyone's candle was lit. Then his Dad would go around the house with everyone following singing Silent Night.

My Christmas memory-

My brother Michael and I would stay up all night every Christmas Eve. We would play games in my closet (so Mom and Dad wouldn't see the light from my room) and make plans on how to sneak into the living room to sneak a peak. I remember that being really fun. We would plan it weeks in advance. Making lists of what games we wanted to play and in what order, and promising each other we would not fall asleep. I'm pretty sure we gave in every year and slept.

The blanket above was made by my lovely mother! She worked so hard and it payed off! It is so cute! She made it to be Lana's "blankey". The one she could carry everywhere.
THE SUPER-DUPER-BLAST-YOU-OUT-OF-THE-SHOWER shower head
Cute coat!

Lana in her snowsuit! She looked so dang fat/cute. She was pretty stone faced while we were out there. She didn't know what to thing of all this weird white stuff.

Dan was trying to get her to eat snow. She is looking at him like "Are you crazy!?"

This is pretty much the best picture ever. Dan made her make a snow angel. Apparently, she didn't like it. It must have been below her "snow angel" standards.

Looks like you guys had a fun pre-Christmas! I love the pic of the snowy finger and Lana...professional style! The one of her in the FREEZING cold snow SCREAMING is borderline child abuse...but it still brought me about 10 seconds of really hard laughter!

Wow! It's been a while since I talked to you in person. Let me know if you need help with Lana. I have not doubts you are doing well with your new job (in addition to all the other jobs you have to handle managing a household!)
Merry Christmas!

Lana makes quite the cute snow angel, even if you did torture her to make it :) This reminds me of the time you told me you'ld never been sledding before so we went out to the sand dunes. Fun times
