We blessed Lana on the the 13th of July. Dan did a great job. He was a little nervous and wanted to know about a million times if he did a good job. I think Lana just slept through the whole thing. It was great to have Dan's family there to assist with the blessing. She wore my blessing dress and looked dang cute!!
We had a lunch right before at our house so everyone could admire her. Thats why she has the flower dress on. I didn't put her blessing dress on until right before church because she has a bad track record of destroying her best outfits. I made chicken pillows which are amazing! All you do is shred chicken, add cream cheese and onion. Then buy those pre-made croissants and wrap up the chicken mixture put some butter on top and roll them in crushed croûtons. AMAZING!! I could eat them all day! It was interesting to have the lunch at our house with about 20 people. We have a one bedroom apartment. The bedroom is Lana's nursery and we have our bed and couches in the living room. So, needless to say it is pretty crowded.

We went to Lake Chelan in Washington. It was beautiful. The lake is clean and blue. You feel clean when you get out! I don't think I have ever had that happen at a lake. We did alot of tubing and swimming. The water wasn't very smooth so we didn't do alot of skiing. The first day we were there I was stupid and decided I didn't need sun screen. I got toasted!! I could barely stand to get dressed.
This is what my niece Mia does when you ask her if she is excited. It is the best!
Jessica, James, and Mattson participated in a local 10 K race while we were there. Jessica got first place for women. Mattson got 2nd place for men and James got 4th place. We think James could have gotten 1st but he was just running with Jessica. Next year we think all the Heiner runners should run and sweep the entire race. They are all crazy runners.

Lana swimming....or floating. Jenny got her the swimsuit! SOOOO CUTE! She was great in the water. She just made funny sniffing noises as we put her in.
Nana took any possible opportunity to spend time with Lana. She allowed me to participated in alot of things I otherwise wouldn't have gotten to do. Many thanks!!!

The last night we were there we went on a night swim. That was a little creepy. Pitch black water. But it was really fun. The moon was full and bright. It was very peaceful. I am proud of myself for having the guts to get in. :)

Whew! Talk about an update! I love all of the pics. You look so pretty on Lana's blessing day! And Dan, that is perfect form water skiing-way to go!
Did you guys stay at Wapato Point on your trip? Our family goes to Lake Chelan twice a year and thats where we stay. Your pictures look like it's the same place!
