She cracks me up! She was watching Dan peeling potatoes, screaming and, laughing! She thought somethin' was really funny...we couldn't figure out what. She is alot noisier now-a-days. On Sunday we had to take her out of every meeting because she was a bit too happy.
We babysat all weekend at the house below. It was awesome! We have been there several times while my sister and brother-in-law were watching the kids. They go out of town a fair amount. This time we got be the lucky ones! We haven't actually met the parents. haha So, it is kinda funny we were watching their kids. Their kids are great! They are the most obedient, polite, perfect kids I have ever met. There are 4 of them still at home ages 16, 13, 9,and 4. They also get along amazingly. They play together and take care of eachother. It was a fun house to be in all weekend. Dan and I were trying to figure out what the parents did to make them so amazing.
The best part of this house by far is the view! (even better when it is not cloudy)
This bed was sooo comfortable!
Baby bulldog cheeks!
Baby eyelashes! Notice the string of slobber....
On Sunday we made roast and mashed potatoes. It was pretty much a flop. It was really tough and dry. I guess I will learn from that. It was my first roast. This is Dan peeling potatoes. He wasn't very happy to have that job. Lana loved to watch him. (Don't worry...we were always really close by when we had her bumbo like that)
a cheeser!!
This is the 4 year old boy we watched. He was so cute with Lana.
Lana has been experimenting with how her body moves. I think we will be crawling in the next 2 mos. Here she is trying to get the toy in front of her.
Dan and I are making alot of decisions right now about our immediate future. (I will tell you when we have decided what to do:). ) We were having a serious conversation in bed at about 10:00 last night. All of the sudden in the middle of the conversation Dan says, "It does get a bit crazy with the red peppers and stuff." In case you were wondering....our conversation was no where near the subject of red peppers. I, of course, then asked him if he just said "red peppers"? We both burst out laughing and decided that Dan really needed to go to bed.
I read an talk in the conferece issue of the Ensign from 2 conferences ago. It is called, "The Abundant Life" by Joseph B. Worthlin.

I have read it over and over since yesterday. I have been thinking alot about what a slacker I am being with the gospel. I feel like I am just going throught the motions. I need to be better about fufilling my callings and serving. I need to make my home a better place to be. I need to start builing a good atomsphere for Lana now, rather than saying I will do better when she can comprehend.
Anyway, enough seriousness (is that a word?) for now. I really encouage you to read that talk.

The fact that you have a desire to better "with the gospel" speaks volumes. Lana is lucky to have such good parents.
ps: CUTE blog background!
Your so hilarious...The "Red Pepper" Story sounds exactly like something I would come up with late at night. The pictures of Lana are adorable. Call me and fill me in on the decisions. By the way, this is Cody and you'll have to ask Chelsea about her "No Way Jose" story...sounds like Dan.
