I am so excited to start doing this. I have been looking at blogs that others have and there are so many cute things you can do. Anyways, I am going to treat this as my journal because I am sooo terrible at writing in an actual journal. So, here goes!
I am angry at all the people who never told me to CHERISH my sleep. I have decided that the hardest thing about having a little baby is how much I am constantly wishing and praying (yes I really do PRAY about this) that when I put Lana down that she will stay asleep for at least 3 hours. Nevertheless, I do love having her as my #1 priority.
She is a little congested right now. Yesterday she got a snot glob lodged in her throat and about killed me when she decided to stop breathing. I looked over and she was just silently flailing around, obviously in distress. I ran over to her and had to suck snot out of her with one of those bulb things (I don't know what they are called..) Then she started breathing again. I'm sure it wasn't very long but it felt like forever.
After Dan got home I went do go get some things down at Southcenter. I was in Jo-Ann Fabrics and I got the hiccups. For those of you who have heard my hiccups you know that this is not a good thing at all. My hiccups sound like a hyper frog. Its really ridiculous. So every person I passed would look over at me in a alarmed way, making sure I was still alive. It was sooo embarrassing. They lasted for a half an hour. ahh
We just started a budget this month. I get to be in charge of that and all of our bills now that I am home. I can't believe we have never had a budget before! We have always been smart with our money but never a budget. This month is our test month to see if the expectations we set for ourselves are realistic. The one expense I think we seriously underestimated is our grocery bill. I want us to eat good food but cooking can be expensive if you don't plan it right. I am not experienced at all in that area. If anyone has cheap recipes feel free to share.
Well, time to clean our house. I need to look like I did something before Dan gets home.

Woo-hoo for a blog! I am so happy...I know that you will keep me entertained. That is so scary about Lana stopping breathing! I would freak out, you are a great mommy! Also, I laughed extremely loud when I heard the hiccup story...your hiccups are crazy! Keep up the posting! Love ya!
I'm so happy you have a blog! It is so addicting.
You have such a beautiful baby, and I can totally relate to you with the sleeping thing. I haven't slept through the entire night in over 5 years. And I know my mom hasn't for almost 26 now. I guess that's just part of being a mom.
Good luck with the budget thing. That has never been my strong point. I usually just throw it out the window and buy what I want.
Keep posting. I'm excited to keep in touch with you guys!
Yea! You have a blog! :) It's a good/creative way to keep in touch with everyone. I have two blogs... one is ryanandrebeccaadams.blogspot.com and the other is one I'm putting recipes on--adamsfamilyrecipes.blogspot.com. You might be interested in the recipes. Ryan and I both like to cook, but we try to find cheap and easy things to make. :) Enjoy!
P.S. Your baby is so cute!!
