3rd Wedding Anniversary!

I can't believe it has been 3 years!! I know to all you old-timers that sounds short, but I think it sounds long. And now we have a beautiful baby girl. Daniel said something about her the other day that I really liked. Something like this...

"I love to watch her laugh and smile. It's just the most pure thing. You know she just 100% happy and enthralled. She's not putting on a show like you can when you're older."

We went to a cabin in the mountains. The living room window was only 15 feet away from the Skykomish River. It also has an amazing view of the Cascade mountains. We decided to do this because we had to bring Lana with us. Last year for our anniversary we went to a bunch of fun places around Seattle, but that kind of thing just didn't sound relaxing with a baby. This way we could just relax and work our schedule around her.
This is the living room. All the rooms were really nice. The bed was AMAZING. I don't think I have ever slept on a mattress I enjoyed more.

This isn't a very good pic but this is the view out the living room window. I loved leaving the door open so you could hear it rush by.

This jacuzzi was awesome! It had 3 massaging chair......for real massaging chairs. The best part was the location. We got in it pretty much anytime Lana went to sleep. :) You can see the stars so well here. I almost forgot what they look like.
Our first night Daniel proudly made steak and shrimp and completed our meal with sparkling cider. I especially liked the shrimp. He makes amazing shrimp. We talked about our most prominent memories from our wedding day. This was the bridge we could see out our window. Apparently it is the last wooden bridge left in Washington. It creaks and sways as you cross it. It was pretty dang cool.
another view from our front yard.
We went on a couple of walks while we were there. Lana loves her stroller and is very content to look around. She's got a pretty sweet ride. Daniel is very proud of our off-roader. Look at those wheels!

During tummy-time Lana looks like this for about 2 mins.....

then she looks like this for the last 8 mins... She hates tummy time.

The second night I was in charge of dinner. I made honey lime chicken enchiladas. They were so good!

our front yard view!
If you look closely you can see me trying to do a bridge. it didn't work very well. We went on a beautiful hike. This is a old-time tunnel. We were afraid a bear was going to come eat us at any time.

This look out was great. You could just see miles and miles of mountains.

All in All... We had a great time. It was very relaxing. It was a great choice. I am so thankful we are able to do things like this and have fun together.

Thanks for the low down on the amazing cabin by the lake, I am totally jealous! I love the pic of you and lana that you changed the color on, the sacred grove pic(ha) and the spiderweb! They were all beautiful!
