This is that night (the first night she was sick) She was one upset girl. Cryin' up a storm. I felt so bad for her....I might have shed a tear or two....
VERY FIRST HAIR-DO!!!
I have been waiting to be able to do this. I was so excited when it actually worked! Dan always talks about the "little antennas" baby girls have and how he thinks it is so cute. I was so excited for him to come home and see how cute she was. I love watching talk about how cute he thinks she is, and playing with her.

Heather offered to babysit Lana so we could go out tonight. We never get to go out without her, so we decided to go to a nice restaurant. We went to The Daliah Lounge. It was AMAZING! We had bread salad for an appetizer. Now, I know that may not sound that good but oh....IT WAS! Then I had Peking Duck with udon noodles. mmmmmmm a million times! Dan had crab cakes. They were really good , but mine was better. :) It was good to get out by ourselves. Thanks Heather!

Dan just got accepted to take the FSO test. (FSO=Foreign service officer) If you do REALLY well on the test you get to go be a US consoler somewhere in the world and you work your way up from there. We would have to live on a U.S. embassy! It's a really long shot but Dan always does a really good job if he puts his mind to something. Maybe it will happen....

I am still not sure how I feel about it. That kind of life isn't exactly the life I have always pictured. Moving to to different country every few years, not owning a house that I get to decorate and raise my family in, ect....you know, the classic white picket fence dream....
But there are up-sides to that kind of life. Lana would get a GREAT education, experiences and likely learn whatever language the country we were in spoke. I would also learn alot. The job is also very stable and provides a good income (and you have hardly any expenses. ) We'll see. We probably won't know anything for about a year.

GO DAN! I hope you get it! (Maybe for selfish reasons so I can go somewhere cool to visit you every 3 years...) That is exciting though, good work.
